Why we won’t live in the transit camps

After demolishing our homes, while he builds our rehabilitation accomodation, the builder is supposed to give us transit accomodation. Our friends who have already shifted into the transit camps warned us about the state the camps are in. Dirty water, suffocatingly small rooms, filthy toilets. The builder’s men would guard the transit camps to make sure no one came for inspections. But when over 200 people from our society showed up demanding to see where we’d be shifted to, they couldn’t stop us. Here’s what we found.
